Sport: Beach volleyball
Notes: She and her partner got knocked out of the Olympic semi-finals by Americans Misty May-Treanor and Kelli Walsh but in this competition, it’s Antunes who advances to the medal round. While so many of the volleyball competitors are known for their bods, Antunes has the cute face to go with it.

Notes: The #5 ranked player in the world got a little lucky in the Olymics – and this contest – when tennis hotties Ivanovic, Sharapova, Golovin all withdrew because of injuries. That was good for Dementieva because she won the gold.

Sport: Rythmic gymastics
Notes: Here’s what I know about her. She’s competing in the Olympics. I have no idea how she’s doing because all the news stories about her are in Spanish. In this contest, she held off a strong challenge from Ukranian tennis player Alona Bondarenko to advance to the medal round.
